Sorry for not updating. I've been busy enjoying the precious sunlight in europe, meeting new friends and old buddies, and trying to see the last bits of european flair as much as possible before my grand returning to 'meine heimat' HK.
i've been longing to write though, during my travels so far. So, I will be back, when internet is stable and that I dont have to move around so much.
Another layer of identity coined by others for me:
1. meeting with M and he commented sth on how not HKese I am just because Ive been living outside of it for at least the last 3 years and that in his impressions ive been around some where else other than asia for too long. (i dont necessarily agree with him. afterall how many people from hk has he ever met in germany or in the other parts of the world anyway?!)
2. meeting with xyz new friends. their comments are always those that i could guess easily, such as ' arr you are so international... arr you've been to everywhere...' blahblahblah
So, who is this girl from Hong Kong really from (culturally) when she presents herself to foreigners and that the other parties often (possibly) have a double standard for her - from HK, and or but (depend on how he she thinks) been to a few continents..and prolly is not a typical person from hk or maybe wait, what if she is?...
Im not confused. But I will elaborate my thoughts on this more in other entries.
That's it for now. Tomorrow i will set off to see a bestie from college who's now studying in Budapest. AND this is my last stop in europe.
